You Could Remind President Obama about Some of the Things He Said in His Letter to His Daughters

Barack Obama's Letter to Daughters Contradicts Abortion-Punishment Remark
http://www.lifenews.com/nat4753.html
"It's a letter incoming President Barack Obama wrote to his daughters, Malia and Sasha. The headline on the letter reads, 'What I want for You--and Every Child in America.' ... "... he wants 'every child to have the same chances to learn and dream and grow and thrive' that his daughters have had. But ... In 2007, he promised Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion operation, that the first thing he'd do as President would be to sign the Freedom of Choice Act--a radical piece of legislation which is the biggest threat to innocent human life since Roe v. Wade. ... How can Obama reconcile his stated desire that every child have a chance to grow and thrive when he previously stated that he was going to teach his daughters about values and morals but, if they made a mistake, he didn't want them 'punished' with a baby? In his letter to his daughters, Obama also writes of the Declaration of Independence, and his grandmother telling him 'about the men and women who marched for equality because they believed those words put to paper two centuries ago should mean something.' That is the same document that declares that all men are created equal, and that life is an unalienable right."

Lessons from Lincoln
http://www.inforumblog.com/?p=2114
"Obama has studied his speeches and writings at length. Here's some of that background ... 'though we may not be able to comprehend it, we must believe that He who made the world still governs it. ... I have desired that all my works and acts may be according to His will, and that it might be so, I have sought his aid. ... We have forgotten the gracious Hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. ... too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us. ... a sweet comfort crept into my soul that God Almighty had taken the whole business into His own hands.' ..."    Back to menu
