Update: The Senate has already confirmed Elena Kagan, David Ogden, and Thomas Perrelli. You can still oppose the confirmation of Dawn Johnsen.

Using the below letter or the other sample letters on this issue and the other resources related to it, please put a letter in your own words (or use a sample letter as is), and mail it to your two U.S. senators and President Obama. There may not be enough time to mail a letter, but after you send your three e-mails, you might mail a copy to your senators and the President just in case it arrives on time. Voting regarding the confirmation of these nominees probably will take place soon. If this request is still here, assume that there may still be time to at least e-mail. It's much better to send a form letter than not to send a letter at all.

Dear Senator Klobuchar:

Subject: Please Vote NO on the confirmation of four liberal picks for the DOJ

I am writing to ask you to vote NO on four liberal activists who have been picked by President Obama for the Department of Justice: Dawn Johnsen, Thomas Perrelli, Elena Kagan, and David Ogden.

These are extremists in legal activism who have made it clear throughout their careers that they view the law as a tool of liberal activism. They will use their powerful positions in the DOJ to enforce their personal liberal agendas upon all Americans. Those agendas include support for unrestricted abortion on demand, for unrestricted access to pornography, and for the homosexual agenda, including the undermining of the military's prohibition of openly homosexual members in the military.

Dawn Johnsen, for example, worked for abortion lobbyists. David Ogden represented the pornography industry and even supports a right to possess child pornography!

These are not fair-minded individuals who believe in the rule of law or constitutional restraints. They are zealots with an agenda. Please vote NO on their confirmations.
