Update: The Senate has already confirmed Elena Kagan, David Ogden, and Thomas Perrelli. You can still oppose the confirmation of Dawn Johnsen.

Using the below letter or the other sample letters on this issue and the other resources related to it, please put a letter in your own words (or use a sample letter as is), and mail it to your two U.S. senators and President Obama. There may not be enough time to mail a letter, but after you send your three e-mails, you might mail a copy to your senators and the President just in case it arrives on time. Voting regarding the confirmation of these nominees probably will take place soon. If this request is still here, assume that there may still be time to at least e-mail. It's much better to send a form letter than not to send a letter at all.

Subject: Please Vote Against the Confirmation of President Obama's Ultra-liberal Justice Nominees

I am writing to express my strong opposition to several of President Obama's nominees to top positions at the U.S. Justice Department: Elena Kagan, Thomas Perrelli, David Ogden, and Dawn Johnsen.

By helping to lead the effort to block the access of U.S. military recruiters to our nation's law school campuses -- an effort stopped by a unanimous vote of the Supreme Court -- Elena Kagan has shown that she is an unwise choice to serve as Solicitor General.

Thomas Perrelli helped lead the legal fight to deny the disabled Terri Schiavo her basic human right to nutrition and hydration, which resulted in Ms. Schiavo's death despite her birth family's heroic efforts to save her.

David Ogden, nominated for Deputy Attorney General of the United States, has ignored the harms inflicted on women and children by both unlimited abortion and pornography. He is a particularly unfit choice to serve the nation in a senior post at the Justice Department.

Dawn Johnsen was the Legal Director for NARAL from 1988-1993. She should not be the Assistant Attorney General for the Office of the Legal Counsel.
