Dear Senator Klobuchar:

Subject: Please Oppose Taxpayer Funding of Abortion; Keep Pro-life Riders

I am writing to urge you to oppose any legislation that provides or increases taxpayer funding of abortion, to oppose any funding to Planned Parenthood, and to keep all appropriation bill riders that protect the unborn.

It's a crime that taxpayers are forced to subsidize the abortion industry, particularly when it is against our own personal morals and beliefs. I strongly urge you to respect my beliefs and those of millions of pro-life Americans across the country. We do not wish to subsidize an industry that damages women's lives and destroys innocent human life. Many Congress members have expressed a desire to reduce abortions. Retaining restrictions on federal taxpayer funding of abortions and abortion providers is the best way to accomplish this.

Even abortion advocacy groups have admitted that restrictions such as the Hyde Amendment have contributed to a national decline in abortions. Please support all the provisions that respect the dignity of every human life; such as, the Hyde amendment and parallel provisions, the Dickey/Wicker amendment, the Hyde/Weldon, and the Kemp-Kasten amendment.

Please respect the rights of taxpayers, and ensure a decline in abortions by maintaining or increasing restrictions on federal abortion funding. And support laws that give protections to embryos, other preborn, the consciences of health care workers, and the pro-life standards of health care institutions.

Thank you for your consideration of my position on this important issue.
