Daily Prayer to End Abortion
Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life,
And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters.
I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion,
Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death
by the Resurrection of Your Son.
I am ready to do my part in ending abortion.
Today I commit myself
Never to be silent,
Never to be passive,
Never to be forgetful of the unborn.
I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement,
And never to stop defending life
Until all my brothers and sisters are protected,
And our nation once again becomes
A nation with liberty and justice
Not just for some, but for all.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen!

will culminate with a novena, beginning Ascension Thursday (May 21, 2009)
and concluding on the Eve of Pentecost (May 30, 2009) for the conversion
of our country. This novena will not be the end but only the beginning of
a crusade of prayer for our country, fellow citizens, and leaders.

The Christian Defense Coalition held a prayer vigil outside the White House
every day at noon until the inauguration, January 20, 2009. The group encouraged
the faith community all across the nation -- in their homes, churches, and
local communities -- to pray at noon for Obama and his conversion on
abortion and to pray these same things for Vice President Biden and members
of the Cabinet. They prayed the 40-year-old Inaugural Prayer of Dr. Billy
Graham, inserting Barack Obama's name for Richard Nixon's.

Novena
of Reparation for Roe vs. Wade, January 14-22
http://www.priestsforlife.org/novenas/prayer-of-reparation.aspx
The Catholic bishops of the United States designated January 22 as a special
day of prayer and penance in reparation for the massive killing that has
resulted from the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision (handed down January
22, 1973) which permitted abortion throughout pregnancy. Priests for Life
invited everyone to prepare spiritually for that day by praying this novena
January 14-22, 2009. Hear a
one-minute

"... Awaken your people to a commitment to justice, to the sanctity of marriage
and the family, to the dignity of each individual human life, and to the
truth that human rights begin when human lives begin, and not one moment
later. Lord, we rejoice today that we are citizens of your kingdom. May that
make us all the more committed to being faithful citizens on earth. We ask
this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."
