Voting-Day Encouragement from Mary

I wrote this before the November 4, 2008, election:

Without the right to life, no other rights are possible.

Many people are voting for Obama who have no idea that, in the United States alone, about 4,000 children are intentionally killed in their mothers' wombs every day. (Over 48 million people have been killed by intentional abortion in the U.S. since Roe vs. Wade, in 1973.) Please be among those many Americans who believe that every human being has an inherent, profound right to equal protection under the law. Obama believes that a whole section of society (those in their mother's womb) doesn't deserve this equal protection. Our country had this mistaken idea when slavery was legal, and Hitler and many and had this mistaken idea when millions were killed in the Nazi holocaust.

Please encourage as many as you can to vote for McCain today. That's very important in order for Obama not to win.

Tell them not to be afraid to err on the side of life today when they cast their vote. The majority of Americans personally believe that abortion is wrong. About half, if not more, of the American population believes that Abortion shouldn't legal. This is a very close election. It's crucial that as many people as possible vote for a culture of life.

Countless people, across parties, will continue to work to solve the social problems that lead to abortions. But while we do that, we need to say that abortion is wrong and should be illegal. We wouldn't say, "Lets work on solving the problems that lead to gun killing, but it the meantime, gun killing should be legal."

The electoral vote is based on the popular vote. Please help. Please vote today, vote for McCain, and encourage others to do so, too. Thank you.
