How to Make a New Folder in Windows Explorer
To make a new folder in Windows Explorer, do the following:
-
Open Windows Explorer by doing the following (unless you have a more-convenient
shortcut to it elsewhere):

Click on Start;

Go to All Programs (or Programs);

Click on Windows Explorer (It may be directly on the All Programs
menu or it may be under Accessories or under one of the categories
under Accessories.

In the left pane of Windows Explorer, browse to the folder into which you
want to create a new folder;

In the left pane of Windows Explorer, click on the folder (to open the
folder) into which you want to create a new folder;

In the right pane of Windows Explorer, right-click in a blank area;

In the pop-up menu that appears, go to New;
-
In the new pop-up menu that appears, click on Folder;
-
When the new folder appears, and you see the blinking, highlighted words
New Folder, type in a name for the folder. (If you miss that chance
to rename the new folder, right click on the new folder, and select
Rename).
